The Ferrari drivers were looking much more comfortable around the Singapore street circuit, with Fernando Alonso and Kimi Räikkönen both running near the top of the timesheets for much of the session. Alonso ended up fastest overall, although Kimi's session ended rather differently - in the pit lane with his brakes on fire!

Mercedes also had some troubles, Nico Rosberg had to grab the glass out of his right wing mirror as it wobbled around and threatened to fall off. He threw it out of the car and continued unhindered. Sebastian Vettel ended his session with a power unit failure that looked like it might be a lengthy repair.
