Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa pulled back the covers on Ferrari's new Formula 1 car this morning in Italy. With the unveiling of F150, Ferrari became the first team to launch their 2011 challenger.

Looking outwardly similar to last years car, chief designer Nikolas Tombazis noted there was more to come before the start of the season: "There are more novelties coming up regarding the configuration for the first race, which aren’t in the car yet, for example something for the rear wing and the exhausts".

Ferrari president Luca di Montezemolo took to the stage in Italy and clearly set out the teams goals for the year, "We have to win" he said.

The car's launch livery picked up where last years design left off. The only significant visual changes included a revised logo on the engine cover and the Italian tricolour on the underside of the rear wing.

The F150 is named in tribute to the 150th anniversary of the Unification of Italy, internally the project is known under the codename 662. Team Principal Stefano Domenicali said of the name "I think that our Team represents 'Italianity' in the world, although we are an international team, with members from all over the world."

The launch may have been uninspiring, the new car deficient in innovative features, but you can't argue with Italianity.
