Fastest laps - Britain 2014 - Hamilton goes quickest around his home track of Silverstone

Lewis Hamilton managed to post the fastest lap of the race, early on, with Sebastian Vettel only coming close towards the end of the Grand Prix. Nico Rosberg set his fastest time on the same lap as his teammate, but was only third fastest overall. Further down the order, Alonso was outshone by Daniel Ricciardo in the Red Bull, who in turn was pipped by Daniil Kvyat in the sister Toro Rosso.

There was also a row of French drivers posting similar times, from Romain Grosjean in 12th down to Jules Bianchi in 14th - the three separated by one second overall.
