One of the more popular and historical races on the F1 calendar brings us back from the summer break, with the challenging Eau Rouge, changeable weather, and drivers with everything to prove. We've had four weeks of peace and quiet but the engines are about to be fired up to maximum for the super-fast Spa circuit.
The championship has been swinging firmly in one direction but it's not over yet, and there are still plenty of points up for grabs as the second half of the season gets underway. The F1 silly season is also about to begin, and there are teams fighting for survival and for every point they can get. Tyres continue to make headlines, although far less than earlier in the year, and the conduct of the stewards is under scrutiny once more.
With all that amid the backdrop of the stupendous Ardennes forest, there's an awful lot to look forward to this weekend.
