Proceedings get off to a slow start in Japan with two very wet sessions, and some rather reluctant teams and drivers. Tyres are the main concern, but going into qualifying without setup notes will be interesting.
FP1 was wet to start with, and as conditions dried out, the tyres began to wear, and the times began to fall.
FP2 was wet to start with, and then more wet throughout. All hail Alonso for breaking the silence after an hour, but the majority of the action was left until the last ten minutes.
Toyota had a new driver on board today, but are looking forward to the rest of the weekend. Hamilton is hyped for the weekend, whilst Sutil believes he can do well.
