Coming up on this show, we talk about the Luca cuckoo clock, Home and Away's latest export, and a word from Italy.

Intro

Not much of an intro this week, it's been something of a busy few days!

Good week/Bad week

It was a good week for Jaime Alguersuari who got all musical and released his first single as Squire (don't call him DJ!) and it was a good week for Narain Karthikeyan who was confirmed for the upcoming Indian Grand Prix. He'll also be making a brief appearance in Singapore.

Meanwhile, it was a bad week for journalists who were overcharged for their internet and then had to demand refunds when it failed, and for journalists again when it emerged that Monza has quite a high crime rate.

News and views

There are lots of little snippets of news this week, so we try to cover as much as we can, including Vettel's new car design, Pirelli starting to over-use the media as their PR machine, and Sam Michael moving to McLaren.

Qualifying

Mr C didn't see all of qualifying, so I zip through some of the highlights that I noticed for the first couple of sessions. Luca di Montezemolo made a couple of appearances, Pastor Maldonado lived up to his nicknames, Paul di Resta missed out by practically nothing, and Nico Rosberg sacrificed his qualifying for a good race strategy.

The race

Turns out that was a bad move from Rosberg after he was knocked out by the flying Liuzzi missile. We discuss the incident and the aftermath, which was mostly a ruined afternoon for an awful lot of people.

We also talk about the important battles on the day, including Schumacher versus Hamilton, Vettel versus Alonso, Webber versus his front wing, and Ricciardo versus two retired Saubers.

Finally, we catch up with Paul's Performance Report and Daniel's Day Out, plus pick out our driver's of the day and score the race out of ten.

Feedback

Two bits of feedback this week, with a message from Stefania giving an insight into how F1, and particularly Ferrari, are seen in Italy. Cody also writes in to praise the marshalling at Monza.

Housekeeping

Of course, buy the app and buy the book - no song this time. We also briefly discuss the introduction of some Facebook bits and bobs here on Sidepodcast.
