Coming up this week, we discuss forgetting how to drive, why cake isn't always bad luck, and karting cowboys.

Intro

A small clip of an outtro serves as our intro.

Good week/Bad week

It's been a good week for Robert Kubica who continues to be on the mend, now that a final pesky surgery has sorted out his elbow. Also a good week for Jenson Button fans as McLaren appear to be ignoring their own policies and letting him attend the Race of Champions.

It's been a bad week for Channel 4 as they had some presenter trouble when it comes to sport, and a bad week for Richard Branson who had a prickly escape from a house fire.

News and views

Nick Heidfeld has been the talk of the town over the last couple of weeks after being unceremoniously dumped from Renault and then threatening to take them to court. It's all been settled now, but we discuss what we think about how it was handled. We also ponder why Mark Webber would want to re-sign for Red Bull.

The race

With every story from qualifying becoming a two-parter with the race, we bundle all the weekend's action into one segment - discussing, amongst other things:

  • The ridiculous 107% rule
  • Red Bull's tyre trouble
  • Bruno Senna's win and fail
  • Schumacher and Button's rise through the field
  • Hamilton versus the world
  • Ferrari's one-driver perspective

We also rate the race, pick our driver of the day, and hear our rookie reports.
