Come in number 7, your time is up - Reviewing the possibility of Franck Montagny getting an F1 drive

I don't know if you're aware of this or not, but I have a bit of a crush on Jenson Button. I try not to draw attention to the fact, you know, it's probably one of our best-kept secrets.

Ha.

Anyway, I've invested quite a lot of time and emotions in the man, bought a Honda hat, supported his crazy contract-switching antics, all that stuff. It hasn't really worked out so well for me or for him. He's only won the single Grand Prix, and let's be honest, that was mostly circumstance, some luck, and only a bit of the talent that I know he has in there somewhere. This year, it's just ridiculous. I don't mind supporting people through the bad times, I'm not one of those fair-weather fans, glory-seekers who only support whoever is winning. But there comes a point when you have to think, maybe it's time to move on.

So, I've been looking around, weighing up the statistics, checking out the options... alright, I went to Goodwood. And I saw Franck.

He was pulling a silly face, but that Franck Montagny... he's a bit of alright. So, here's where I need a bit of help. I'm not very good at the whole predictions thing. I can't work out who is going to be moving where and what team they'll be driving for. I consider it to be a bit like a game of chess, at which I am also lacking skill. If this guy goes here, then that person will get a drive, and he'll do this, and they'll move there. I just can't think that many theoretical steps ahead. But I know that my lovely faithful readers can, and so I ask a favour.

Can you tell me if Franck Montagny is going to get a race drive any time soon? Because I do not want to start investing in him, if it's going to depend on some serious chess-playing.

It doesn't have to be this year or even the next, because I can wait!

[But not that much longer, because the one thing working against him is that he is two years older than Jenson. It's a race against time, people!]
