Christine's Rankings returns for 2012 - bigger, brighter, bolder and better than ever // The best rankings system by me ever is set for a fabulous comeback

Published by Christine

Christine's Rankings is back for its third season, returning to Sidepodcast to rate all the F1 drivers on the good, the bad, and everything in between. As the most in-depth and accurate global ranking driver system ever produced by me, Formula One's class of 2012 will be rated on everything from fashion, cooking, humour and generally being an all round good egg. It's important stuff, and this is the only place you'll find an open and transparent F1 rankings process anywhere on the web.

The previous two seasons of Christine's Rankings has seen Timo Glock and Heikki Kovalainen take the top honours, both with great challengers fighting them all the way through the year. This season will see new faces join the fold as Charles Pic, Romain Grosjean and Kimi Räikkönen make their Rankings debut. With all 24 drivers eligible from the outset, plus reserve drivers added once they turn a wheel, the competition will be frantic.

24/7

As the year progresses, I'll be rating the drivers on all their off-track antics, including things seen on TV, posted to social networks or heard via word of mouth. Submissions are accepted all the way through the season, so keep your eyes peeled and make sure your favourite driver gets the points he deserves.

For 2012, the Christine's Rankings system has been revamped, making it shiny and new, and a little bit fancier than it was before. The Christine's Rankings page becomes a destination - updated in realtime, as each item comes across my desk. You will be able to see up to the minute changes to the table, review the recent items in a handy list, and make your submissions right from the page itself. Make sure you bookmark that page, you'll want to be checking back time and again.

Driver parade

Just as in previous years, there will be a weekly digest post, recapping what has changed in the previous seven days, who is doing well and who needs to start thinking outside the box. Come the end of the year, when the dust has settled on the 2012 F1 title battle, we will crown our very own Christine's Rankings champion, with the driver joining an elite list of the very best of the best.

Testing began this week, so if anything has caught your eye from the four days in Jerez, get the ball rolling and send your thoughts in. The action is ramping up slowly towards the season opener in March, and I'll be following it all the way.
