The wet morning session meant that everyone had their eyes towards the skies for the second - and the dry conditions forced a packed programme for most drivers during the afternoon. Lewis Hamilton remained near the top of the timesheets but was pipped to P1 by Michael Schumacher. Timo Glock lost control of his car as the front wing fell clean off the car, and the Marussia ended up in the barriers. He was not the only one to spin his way off track, as Paul di Resta also found the final corner difficult. Meanwhile, Kimi Räikkönen improved from last in first practice, to thirteenth in the afternoon.
