Canada 2013 - Free Practice 2 results - Fernando Alonso tops the session before long-fuel runs kick in

The track was almost completely dry after the morning's damp start, but drivers were still struggling for grip - this time because they were testing out Pirelli's developmental sets of tyres. When the traditional supersofts went on, the times started dropping considerably, and Fernando Alonso popped up to P1 with Lewis Hamilton just one hundredth of a second behind him. The pair were unbeaten as the teams started concentrating on longer runs to bring their Friday practice session to a close.
