Canada 2012 - Free Practice 2 results - Hamilton does the double as McLaren scrabble to fix Button's car

The McLaren team had a mixed day, with one side of the garage successful in both practice sessions, and the other struggling in the morning and afternoon outings. For second practice, it was some gearbox related issues that halted Button's running, but he did manage to do two more laps than in FP1. Meanwhile, Caterham patched up Kovalainen's car, allowing him to head out on track and finish the day 16th. It was Bruno Senna who stopped proceedings this time, hitting the wall of champions backwards and giving the marshals some more work to do. Both Ferrari drivers improved their times to finish second and third behind Hamilton.
