Brazil 2011 - Rate the race - Cast your vote on the final round of the F1 season

Published by Christine

Brazil didn't exactly have to do much to raise the game from some of the recent racing we have seen, but how did it fare as an end of season send-off? We saw a different face on the top step of the podium, albeit a very familiar team. There were reliability issues aplenty, although they all appeared to be gearbox related. The tyres were never really an issue, but overtaking wasn't exactly overflowing either. How are you going to score the Brazilian GP?

Driver of the day

Mark Webber finally managed to do what was required of him and get a win for the team this year, however it was obviously something of a lucky break due to Vettel's gearbox troubles. Jenson Button did some handy overtaking to get past Alonso towards the end, but the Spaniard had made some good moves at the start to be in front in the first place. Elsewhere, Felipe Massa made good use of a two stop strategy when all around him were trying something different.
