Belgium 2011 - Rate the race - Vote on the Grand Prix action at Spa-Francorchamps

Published by Christine

Although the rain held off over the Spa-Francorchamps circuit, which is in itself quite an achievement, the race still held plenty of intrigue from start to finish. With drivers out of position - both towards the back with work to do, or at the front with ground to defend - there was all the chances of a mixed up finish. There were strategy calls and tyre decisions to be made, and a safety car to be dealt with. Stories were written throughout the field, but how do you think it stacked up compared to the rest of 2011?

Driver of the day

There are drivers to note all over the place today. Michael Schumacher came from the back of the field, Jenson Button also had plenty of positions to make up. Sebastian Vettel kept a cool head despite losing the lead, and overtook to regain another victory. Mark Webber made the best of his day after a terrible start. Maldonado picked up a point after a controversial performance yesterday, whilst Adrian Sutil seemed to keep his head down and stay out of trouble to pick up some useful points for Force India.

So, who deserves driver of the day?
