Bahrain 2012 - Free Practice 1 results - Lewis Hamilton takes an early lead in first practice session

Despite the furore surrounding the events in Bahrain, Free Practice 1 got underway with no major incident. The weather was warm and dry, allowing drivers the freedom of the full 90 minutes to choose when to run. Red Bull showed some increased pace, leading the way at one point, and ending up with Sebastian Vettel second. It was Lewis Hamilton who finished the morning on top, however.
