Lewis Hamilton put in the fastest time, leading the two BMWs with Nick Heidfeld ahead of Robert Kubica. Jenson Button ended the morning in fifth, whilst teammate Rubens Barrichello was down in seventh. The two Ferrari drivers circled around the bottom half of the top ten.
