Australia 2013 - Race results // Kimi Räikkönen takes an early win with a tyre-dominant race

Published by Christine

Tyre management was predicted to be the main deciding factor come race day, and it was so. Mark Webber had a terrible start, but polesitter Sebastian Vettel managed to get away into the lead. It didn't last long, as the pit stops began to unfold, and after a brief stint led by Adrian Sutil, the battle fell to Kimi Räikkönen defending his lead, and Fernando Alonso chasing for the victory.
