Australia 2011 - Qualifying results - Red Bull scooped pole position, with McLaren close behind

Published by Christine

After a mixed up practice this morning, qualifying looked set to continue in a similar fashion. The conditions remained cool but dry, and we saw big names fall early. Nick Heidfeld was an early casualty, dropping his Renault out in the first qualifying session. His teammate finished in the top ten. There were other examples of vast differences between teammates, particularly the eight tenths between Red Bulls, but ultimately, Vettel took a storming pole, and no one can argue with that.
