An affection for a trophy collection - Christine's Rankings, Week 24 - Summer break activities come to a crashing halt in Spa

After spending lots of time in the sunshine and recharging their batteries, the drivers returned to work this weekend. They had time to share some of their activities (more driving for some, training for others, messing about in the ocean for many) but then got on with the business of preparing to race. I've handed out points for celebrating in style but taken them away when those celebrations go over the top. There's also points for caring about your fellow man, as well as being that extra bit honest in video previews.

As always, if you spot anything that's worth a rankings point, do let me know in the usual ways. We're heading into the crucial part of the season now, and it is crazy close at the top, so anything could happen - a bit like the actual 2016 championship itself.

Movements for Week 24

  • +1 Lewis Hamilton: Always good to hear the first reaction of a driver to a crash is to check the other driver is okay.
  • +1 Daniel Ricciardo: Making his way on to the podium in Spa has brought out the poet in Daniel.
  • -2 Daniel Ricciardo: It's not enough he drinks out of his shoe, he has to make Mark Webber do it too.
  • +2 Valtteri Bottas: Birthday cake!
  • +1 Fernando Alonso: Stirring up a bit of trouble by reversing the grid after his hefty penalties.
  • +1 Nico Rosberg: Calling on the stewards for an inquiry into Alonso's new and revised grid.
  • +3 Daniel Ricciardo: Having a lot of fun over the summer break testing out some fab cars in the sunshine.
  • +2 Romain Grosjean: Admitting that drivers get a little bit nauseous when first attempting the elevations on the Spa circuit.
  • +3 Carlos Sainz Jr: I'm not sure this entirely counts as relaxing during the summer break, but brave lad!
  • +1 Kimi Räikkönen: Not really trying to encourage swearing here but it is fun that Kimi was too quick and colourful for the bleep machine.
