The final practice session on Friday saw the times falling as the weather improved and the tarmac became more and more rubbered in. Felipe Massa had a problem about twenty minutes from the end, stopping out on track with a fuel problem. Otherwise, it was Hamilton who took the top spot over from Vettel in FP1, pushing the Red Bull driver down to third. Notably, Webber did not appear in the top three for either session.
