Back into the daylight, the drivers had their last hour of practice before qualifying, which saw Jenson Button just pip Lewis Hamilton to the top by two thousandths of a second. Rubens Barrichello wasn't too much further down the road, either, as Sébastien Buemi finished in fourth.
