This is F1Minute and it’s the 15th November 2010.
The dust has barely settled on the 2010 season, and already it is time to look ahead to next year. Williams today confirmed that they have signed Rubens Barrichello for 2011, with the Brazilian entering his 19th season in F1. That’s forever. At the same time, it was confirmed that Hülkenberg won’t return to the team, and although Nico hasn’t said where he is going, his manager Willi Weber has said they are talking to other teams at the moment. That would suggest we’ll see Maldonado and Barrichello as the Williams line-up for next season, but that is speculation for now.
Also, it has emerged that the plans between Toyota and HRT to share technical information have fallen apart - Toyota Motorsport released a statement saying they were pulling out of the partnership because, quote: “TMG regrets that HRT has not met its contractual payment obligations and will pursue all available options to reach a satisfactory conclusion to this matter.”
