This is F1Minute and it’s the 12th November 2010.
We’ll look at the track action first, shall we? Sebastian Vettel was fastest in FP1, with Hamilton and Button behind him. It was a damp session and although there were a few slips off track, it was a very quiet session. FP2 saw Hamilton take the lead, with Vettel and Alonso behind him. There was more slipping about, but Massa was the only real casualty, stopping out on track with a fuel problem. Hamilton was later given a reprimand for cutting the pit entry line - despite the fact Senna had to navigate round him to avoid collision.
Now off-track stuff - Heidfeld has confirmed that he is talking to Renault about a race seat next year. He would take the seat in place of Petrov, but admits he needs to bring some financial backing with him.
Virgin Racing have sold a major stake in the team to Russian sportscar makers Marussia Motors. The team will now be known as Marussia Virgin Racing - and the deal is set to last several years. Now, let’s see, Virgin are a Russian team, and there’s a Russian driver potentially without a seat at Renault. Watch this space!
