Welcome to F1Minute - Unconfirmed European race added to the 2013 calendar.
The World Motorsport Council have made some small tweaks to the official 2013 calendar, after the final version was released towards the end of September. This time the German Grand Prix has been moved forward a week to the 7th July, becoming a back to back with the British Grand Prix.
The subsequent three week gap has been filled with an as-yet-unannounced race in Europe. Strong rumours indicate that it could be the Turkish Grand Prix returning to the calendar, but there are other candidates, and it will hopefully be announced soon!
The calendar will then stand at twenty races once more, after being reduced to nineteen briefly after the postponement of the race in New Jersey - which was supposed to make its debut next year, but will now come onto the calendar in 2014.
The small drawback for fans in the UK is that the German GP will now clash with the Goodwood Festival of Speed - meaning the F1 teams will be unable to attend the popular motorsport festival.
