This is F1Minute - Toto Wolff switches to Executive Director role at Williams.
Toto Wolff, shareholder at Williams, has increased his day to day involvement with the team, moving from a Non-Executive Director to an Executive one. Frank Williams explained the change, saying: “Toto’s new role, working closely alongside myself, is about Williams looking forward and managing the successful running of the company.”
Toto himself adds that he’ll be helping Frank out in his Team Principal role, saying: “I am really looking forward to be able to take my responsibilities to a new level.”
Meanwhile, the team are moving on from a difficult German Grand Prix, and keeping a close eye on the competition. Chief Operations Engineer Mark Gillan won’t give anything away though, he says: “As a team we have got a lot still to improve, even with the package we’ve got. The DRS, the exhausts, they’re all bolt on and nice to have.... A lot of these things need a lot of investment just to get it on the car... depending on the results from the windtunnel, you decide which one you go for.”
