Welcome to F1Minute, it’s the 20th October 2010
Toro Rosso have confirmed, via Jaime Alguersuari, that they won’t be running the fabled F-duct this weekend, and they are quickly running out of races to do so! They have been testing the device out, and brought it to the track during Free Practice in Italy, but it has not yet been spotted in a race. Alguersuari said: “It was not producing the results we expected, which is a shame as it would have been an advantage for us, given the layout of this circuit.”
Talking of the Korean track, designer Hermann Tilke has explained away the circuit delays - draining swamps, compacting land and a long monsoon season - and suggested that the slippery surface will probably see plenty of drivers spinning - but it will be great to watch because they are the best of the best. We’ll just have to see about that!
And finally, former F1 champion Alan Jones will join the stewards this weekend to oversee any problems and add a drivers view to any penalties.
