After being ousted from the Marussia team only yesterday, Timo Glock has already started looking ahead to his future. It was confirmed today that he’ll be with BMW in a DTM test this week, showing off what he can do behind the wheel of a touring car in Valencia. Glock has previously driven for BMW when he took part in the Formula BMW series in 2000 and 2001, and he was a test driver for BMW Sauber in F1 in 2007.
Glock says: “I have fond memories of my time with BMW Motorsport and am very excited about testing the BMW M3 DTM. I’m really looking forward to it.”
Robert Kubica will also be in action at the DTM test in Valencia, driving a Mercedes. Toto Wolff spoke of the popular driver, saying: “I think there are still some physical constraints to driving a monocoque chassis, with his elbow and with his arm. I think we’d all love to see Robert doing well in an F1 car in the future, but it’s definitely too early at this stage.”
