This is F1Minute - Thesan Capital take controlling stake in HRT.

Hispania Racing have been going through quite a reshuffle over the past few days, with Narain Karthikeyan out and Daniel Ricciardo in. Colin Kolles confirmed he would be taking a step back from the team and now, Spanish investment firm Thesan Capital have become a majority shareholder, taking control of the day to day running of the team.

HRT issued a statement saying: “The Spanish investment group will lead the development of Hispania Racing in the upcoming years, maintaining the current teams and directors, which is one of the main assets of the company... alongside progressively making the team more Spanish and definitively setting the team in Spain.”

They go on to say that the new owners are entering the sport with the knowledge that they are a growing team, but with the hopes they can improve performance and start getting results.

When confirming Daniel Ricciardo’s race seat last week, HRT also admitted they hoped the deal with Red Bull could lead to a bigger and better partnership between the two teams.
