This is F1Minute - Robert Kubica confirms rehabilitation on schedule.
The Renault team have published the first part of a fan Q&A with injured driver Robert Kubica, with many of the questions focused on his recovery and when he may be back.
Talking of his health, Kubica said: “Physically, I am still a bit weak but my general condition is quite good. My weight has now returned to its normal level and for a few weeks I’ve been able to walk without help.”
In terms of a return to racing, the Pole added: “The improvement is in line with the expectations, and luckily there are no complications that could affect the recovery time. It is still too early to have a clear picture for the timing of my return but the important thing is the final outcome, not the the hurry.”
Regarding the accident itself, Kubica confirmed that it would not put him off racing as he doesn’t have any memory of it. He also commented upon Renault’s recent race performance, noting that the diffuser issue overshadowed their pace in Silverstone, but there are updates still to come. Kubica confirms: “I’m a Lotus Renault GP driver. I’m missing not being able to drive this season, but I feel my job in Enstone isn’t finished yet.”
