Welcome to F1Minute - Red Bull, Ferrari and Sauber announce prize-winning drivers.
It’s that time of year again, the time when some of the junior racing series come to their conclusions and the winners get their Formula One test drives as a prize. Luciano Bacheta has already been granted some seat time in the Williams at Silverstone last week, after successfully being crowned champion in Formula 2.
Meanwhile, Sauber confirmed that they would be running Robin Frijns at the Abu Dhabi Young Driver test, alongside their regular tester Esteban Gutiérrez. Frijns has already completed a lap or two in a demo for Red Bull, using an old car, and after winning the Formula Renault 3.5 championship, he will also be allowed in the Red Bull in Abu Dhabi as well. He’ll be joined by Antonio Felix da Costa who is being rewarded for his third place in GP3.
Finally, Ferrari have announced a test for Spanish driver Daniel Juncadella, to be on 9th November at Vallelunga. Daniel won the European Formula 3 championship recently, and said the Ferrari prize was something he really wanted to win.
