Pirelli have announced the tyre selections they’ll be bringing for three more races, starting with the first event after the summer break in Belgium. Spa will have the soft and mediums in action, unless it rains, which is quite likely. The Italian tyre supplier say the middle of the road compounds will “be well-suited to the varied track and weather conditions often found in Belgium.”
Italy will require the rubber to be one step harder, with the medium and hards on offer. Pirelli suggest: “This is to combat the high-energy loads that are put through the tyres as the result of high traction and braking demands, sustained high speeds and frequently warm temperatures.”
From the demands of Monza, F1 will head to Singapore, where the tyre selection will feature softs and supersofts, as teams adapt back to being on a street circuit, and deal with the lower temperatures of racing at night.
