This is F1Minute - Pirelli confirm tyre compounds for three more races.
Formula One’s sole tyre supplier has revealed their chosen compounds for upcoming races in Bahrain, Spain and Monaco, with the supersoft tyre finally making an appearance in 2012.
For Bahrain, the tyres will be medium and soft - the same choices as we saw in Australia and we will see in China next time out. Spain will see the hard and softs appear, whilst Monaco brings the soft and supersoft compounds together around the twisting street circuit.
Pirelli head to Bahrain for the first time, as the race was off the calendar in their debut year last season. It’s back on the schedule for 2012, but there are still concerns ahead of the Grand Prix due to take place at the end of the month.
The last word from Bernie Ecclestone showed he has faith it will all turn out alright. He said: “There are always people threatening. I don’t believe the race promoters would take a risk if they thought there was a risk. Let’s see.”
