This is F1Minute - Paul di Resta parts ways with manager Anthony Hamilton.
It was rumoured yesterday but Paul di Resta has now confirmed that he is no longer under the management of Anthony Hamilton - Lewis Hamilton’s father. The pair have been working together since Di Resta joined Formula One in 2010.
However, Paul di Resta has said they have split, adding: “I can confirm we are not working together. At the moment, I am fully focused on my racing. At the end of the day, it is results that count for me and that is what will drive me forward. We’ve had a good year up to now and the aim is to carry that forward.”
Di Resta’s team, Force India, are thinking along similar lines, with Dr Vijay Mallya very happy with their highest scoring weekend ever in Valencia. He says: “We are catching up with our nearest competitors quite quickly, now we need to keep up the momentum... The aim this weekend is to deliver a repeat performance, pick up points and keep pushing hard to move up the championship table.” The Valencia weekend allowed Force India to within one point of Williams, with a further 15 to Sauber.
