This is F1Minute - Marussia to introduce Williams KERS device to car in 2013.
Marussia have confirmed that they will be partnering with Williams for their KERS device on their 2013 car. The Marussia team have not yet used KERS, opting to concentrate on other areas of the car in the meantime. However, consultant to the team Pat Symonds has conducted an indepth interview with the official website, revealing that they will partner the Williams KERS device with their Cosworth engine next season - a setup that Williams themselves employed in 2011.
Symonds added: “I’m very pleased with the progress we’ve made aerodynamically in the last few months and I have every reason to believe we can continue that. Our aim for 2013 is to build on this strong foundation as we expand our aero department... whilst at the same time not neglecting the mechanical aspects.”
Looking to the future is all very well, but Pat also talked of this year, saying their expectations are realistic but also: “Our performance on the faster circuits has been a little bit disappointing... our limited resources have not allowed us to do everything we wished to do.”
