Welcome to F1 Minute - Mark Webber and Felipe Massa lead soaking Silverstone practice.

Two Free Practice sessions in Silverstone today were dominated by just one topic of conversation - the weather.

The damp conditions saw limited running in FP1, and a few spins from drivers including Fernando Alonso and Jarno Trulli. The major incident came from Kamui Kobayashi, who ran wide onto the grass, and bounced up into the air slightly, before crashing back down and into the barriers.

He climbed from the car okay, but his car needed some attention. Meanwhile, Mark Webber set the fastest time, whilst Sebastian Vettel was down in 13th place. Webber’s car ground to a halt at the end of the session though, so he may have been running on fumes.

FP2 was even wetter, with drivers sitting out a lot of the session. Jaime Alguersuari even appeared to be having a nap in the car, helmet on, eyes closed. When the cars did start to emerge from the pitlane, it was the Mercedes drivers who showed pace in the wet, with Michael Schumacher fastest, beaten by Nico Rosberg. At the very end of the session, Felipe Massa pipped them all to the top spot. Unfortunately, the weather does not look much brighter tomorrow.
