Welcome to F1Minute - Lotus driver Romain Grosjean wins Race of Champions.

Formula One was very well-represented at the Race of Champions this past weekend in Bangkok, as Lotus driver Romain Grosjean secured the individual trophy, whilst the pairing of Sebastian Vettel and Michael Schumacher took the win in the Nation’s Cup. The German duo have been champions for the previous five years, and added a sixth Cup to their collection.

Meanwhile, Romain Grosjean took part in the Nation’s Cup for France alongside rally driver Sébastien Ogier, and the pair got through to the final but lost out to the Germans. Grosjean got his own back the following day though, winning the Race of Champions itself.

Afterwards, he said: “Champion of Champions sounds pretty good. It wasn’t an easy route to the crown either; I had Sebastian in the quarter final then Michael in the semi final, then Tom Kristensen in the final. Between those three drivers you’ve got ten Formula One titles and eight Le Mans wins! To win against these drivers is very special indeed.”
