The FIA have released details of next season’s entry list, a provisional document which features eleven teams as normal, each with two cars as normal.
Although Caterham and Marussia are both in a period of administration, there are hopes that they will be able to find buyers and continue to participate in Formula One. Those in charge of saving the Caterham team are actually hoping to return in Abu Dhabi, with the administrators saying: “There are a number of parties involved but because the financial commitments are so huge it is difficult for people to commit. I’m very hopeful the team will be in Abu Dhabi, we are making arrangements to go as we speak.”
Marussia’s entry is listed as their original Manor Grand Prix, and is still subject to confirmation. The only change to the remaining entries is McLaren’s engine manufacturer, switching them from McLaren Mercedes to McLaren Honda.
