This is F1Minute - Drivers confident over 2013 race seats.
With the summer break in full effect, the F1 paddock now has the chance to sit back and evaluate how things are going. Drivers in particular are looking to the future, with Bruno Senna saying: “In the races, I think I’m doing pretty well this season. As I’ve said before, nailing qualifying will be the key to make sure I stay for next year and hopefully the next few years.”
Meanwhile, over at Sauber, Monisha Kaltenborn has evaluated their driver lineup particularly the apparent improvement of Pérez over Kobayashi. She says: “I would say that some factors played for Sergio and some simply didn’t work out for Kamui. But we still have half the season to go, Kamui can go out and copy Sergio... I would put on record that both show a good development curve.”
Finally, Daniel Ricciardo is hoping for a continuation of his Toro Rosso contract but doesn’t expect it soon, saying: “It’s always very late and since I started with the Red Bull junior team, the earliest news I got was November. If it comes before that, I would be surprised.”
