Hello and welcome, this is F1Minute, it’s the 26th September 2010.

Fernando Alonso took a storming win in Singapore earlier today, dominating proceedings from start to finish. He was on pole, led every lap of the race, scored the fastest lap, and took the win.Vettel tried to stick with him but had to settle for second with Webber third. The Australian had his own troubles, choosing a different strategy than the others, and at one point colliding with Hamilton. Unfortunately for Lewis, his car was too damaged to continue, making it the second race in a row where he retires and picks up no points.

He was not alone, though, eight other drivers also retired, including Liuzzi, Trulli, Senna, Kobayashi, Klien, Heidfeld, Glock and Kovalainen. Heikki’s car actually caught fire and he had to pull to the side of the track, jump out and start using the fire extinguisher himself. As usual, the marshalling left quite a lot to be desired.

Finally, Massa started at the back of the grid but hauled his way up to 10th, and was then promoted to 9th when Sutil picked up a post-race penalty.
