This is F1Minute - Adam Parr resigns from Williams F1.

Current Chairman of Williams Adam Parr has announced his departure from the team, with his last day on Friday 30th March. The news comes of something as a surprise, as Parr has been gradually making his way towards the top, with Frank Williams himself admitting that Adam would make a natural successor to him in the future.

However, Parr is making way for Nick Rose, currently a Non-Executive Director, who will take on the Chairmanship.

Speaking of his decision, Parr was thankful for his five years with Williams and said: “It’s a period that has been both challenging and rewarding... Williams is now set up to move forward and I wish everyone at Grove well.”

No official explanation has been given for the sudden announcement, with Frank Williams simply adding: “Over five years, Adam’s achievements have surpassed my expectations and I must thank him for his service... Adam leaves us on good terms to pursue a better balance in his life for which I wish him and his family well.”
