It’s the 31st August 2009 and this is F1Minute.

Force India should be celebrating what was an epic weekend for them, but instead have found themselves in a bit of a row with themselves. Commercial Director Ian Philips spoke to the media and strongly suggested that Fisichella would be making that switch to Ferrari imminently. The team then issued a hurried press release saying: “Ian Philips’ comments do not reflect the views of the Force India Formula One Team Management since he is not the designated spokesperson for the team nor is he authorized to speak to the media. His comments should therefore be ignored.” Oops.

Elsewhere, Button has said he has no intention of letting the rest of the season slip by without wins. He says: “All I need to do is finish fourth of fifth, but that’s not what I want to do. I want to win races... So I’m going to be aggressive.” He says he is not depressed about his lack of wins, and is positive about the next few races.

That’ll do it for now, please join me again tomorrow for another F1Minute.
