It’s the 27th March 2010, and this is F1Minute.
Sebastian Vettel took his second pole position of the year, and will line up on the grid ahead of teammate Webber and Ferrari’s Fernando Alonso. Qualifying wasn’t the super exciting event we were expecting, although the threat of rain did make it slightly more interesting.
Lewis Hamilton struggled and threw up the surprise of the day, he couldn’t make it out of Q2, and qualified 11th, whilst Button was up in fourth. Traffic was a real problem throughout the day, with de la Rosa being reprimanded by the FIA for impeding other drivers in practice. After qualifying, Schumacher asked Charlie Whiting for clarification on the rules for blocking saying about an incident with Alonso: “Basically on my last try, I was slowed down by him. I asked him whether the team had told him and he said no... we had this chat yesterday in the drivers’ briefing that this should be taken care of, and actually he was one of the main guys asking about it.”
That’s all for now, I’ll be back tomorrow with another F1Minute.
