This is F1Minute for the 27th April 2009.
Despite winning the Bahrain GP, Button believes that Red Bull now have the edge in terms of pace compared to his own Brawn GP team. Button said the fact that the other teams are catching, and in his opinion RBR have overtaken them, made the win even sweeter. Ross Brawn has also confirmed that there will be upgrades coming to the car at the next race in Barcelona.
There were pictures and video of Fernando Alonso clearly struggling as he exited the car at the end of the race yesterday, but Renault have issued a statement saying the Spaniard is fine. His drinks bottle hadn’t been functioning for the entire race, so he was dehydrated by the time he climbed out the car. He is now absolutely ok .
Finally, the Sunday Times published their 2009 Rich List yesterday, and Bernie Ecclestone remains 24th despite losing £934 million. Most of that seems to have gone to Slavica, who appears on the list in her own right – number 58.
That’s it for today, I’ll be back tomorrow with another F1Minute.
