This is F1Minute for the 26th March 2010.

The Australian weekend got off to a good start today with Kubica and Hamilton heading up the Free Practice sessions. Kubica was fastest in FP1, a slow session where it was about halfway through before anyone started to set a time. Kobayashi caused two red flags in his Sauber, clipping the kerb and removing his front wing at one point.  Thankfully, Chandhok managed to get 19 laps under his belt - the most of his F1 career so far.

In FP2, the rain started to fall, meaning another quiet session. There was only about 15 minutes of dry running, and Hamilton was fastest. Glock had gearbox troubles, whilst di Grassi, Chandhok and Senna didn’t manage to set a time at all.

Elsewhere, the FIA have approved Virgin Racing increasing the size of their fuel tank as the team discovered that it was marginal and most likely too small. They’re hoping to introduce the new tank for the European races.

That’s all for today, I’ll be back tomorrow for another F1Minute.
