Today is the 25th April 2009 and this is F1Minute.
Jarno Trulli took pole position today in Bahrain, as Toyota dominated the desert. Glock lines up on the front row beside him, after also topping Free Practice 3 this morning. Timo did suffer an electrical problem in the morning that saw his FP session end early, but he still retained the fastest time, and kept the pace up in qualifying as well.
Webber was an early casualty, dropping out in Q1, but he was held up by Adrian Sutil which left him unable to complete another flying lap. Sutil was handed a three place grid drop after the event which drops him to 19th. Webber will start 18th.
Another surprise was the poor showing by BMW, who couldn’t make it into Q3 and will take their places on the grid 13th and 14th. They’ve chosen a heavy fuel load and both are running KERS. It’s also worth noting that Vettel, in third, is heaviest of the front runners.
That’s it for today, I’ll be back tomorrow with another F1Minute.
