Welcome to F1Minute for the 18th January 2010.
It seems as though today is the day for news about drivers settling in at their new teams. Firstly, Alonso has been talking to a Spanish radio station about his new role at Ferrari, suggesting that it will take time to get up to championship level success with them, and you can’t assume anything. He said: “Formula 1 is not simply mathematics. We see the same in football and in other sports, where you see that a great team can lose in a small team’s stadium. In F1, it’s more or less the same, and theory is not everything. ”
Meanwhile, Kubica was at the Renault factory and said things are going well, he’s impatient to get in the car: “The site is bigger now and there are more facilities such as the CFD centre, which is very impressive and will play a big role in the development of our car this year. When you walk around the factory there is a great atmosphere and everybody seems motivated and up for the fight - just like me!”
That’s all for now, I’ll be back tomorrow with another F1Minute.
