Hello and welcome to F1Minute, it’s the 15th February 2010.
It was a bit of a quiet news day today, but Force India have come out and said they are aiming for fifth place in the championship by the end of 2010. That seems like a very specific goal to me, but COO Otmar Szafnauer said: “We finished ninth last year, if we can move up another three or four positions, we’re on the right track. We’ll try to continue on the same path where we finished, so at the start of this season we should be much stronger than we were at the start of last season.”
Elsewhere, Williams have opened up about their Apprenticeship scheme, in which they team up with Newbury College to provide students with engineering experience. One of the assessors, Ian Carroll says: “They work closely with our highly skilled team and are rotated around the various different departments in the factory to give the most comprehensive skill base possible.” I am jealous.
That’s all for today, please join me tomorrow for another F1Minute.
