Today is the 14th December 2009, and this is F1Minute.
Lotus F1 held a press conference today in Malaysia, confirming their new logo and their driver lineup. The logo is a new take on the yellow and green of old Lotus, and boss Tony Fernandes said: “We are not pretending to be the Lotus of the past, but we are honoured to be able to bring the name back into Formula 1 at the start of a new decade of racing. We will draw on its heritage and use it to inspire and motivate our team, Lotus F1 Racing.”
Meanwhile, Heikki Kovalainen and Jarno Trulli were confirmed as Lotus drivers for the 2010 season, with Heikki saying he was impressed with how far the team had come, and their determination. Trulli added: “I am pleased to be back working alongside Mike Gascoyne, someone with whom I have enjoyed previous success at other teams. I get on very well with him and I respect his working style.”
That’s all for now, please join me tomorrow for another F1Minute.
