Welcome to F1Minute, it’s the 14th April 2009.
The diffuser hearing is taking place in Paris today but it is unlikely we’ll get an answer on the outcome until tomorrow. In court, Ferrari’s lawyer has suggested that the so-called double decker diffusers are clearly exploiting a loophole in the regulations and that any other opinion is simply flouting the purpose of the rules. Either way, we’ll find out tomorrow, hopefully.
Elsewhere, Renault have brought their Dubai Roadshow to a close with a stunning demonstration on the largest indoor ski slope in the world. Nelson Piquet took the R28 for a spin, with special Bridgestone snow tyres bolted on, which brought a week of demos to an end.
Finally, it was announced yesterday that Ferrari are hoping to solve some of their recent problems with a personnel reshuffle that sees Luca Baldisserri consigned to the factory and Chris Dyer taking on more trackside duties.
That’s it for today, I’ll be back tomorrow with another F1Minute.
