This is F1Minute and it’s the 13th July 2009.
Yesterday, it was announced that N.Technology, one of the unsuccessful teams for next season, would be taking the FIA to court over the way they handled the selection process. Last week, it was suggested that the new teams were advised to have Cosworth on board else they would be rejected, and although the FIA deny this, the matter will now be dealt with legally. N.Technology suggest they are doing it in the sports best interests.
Elsewhere, it looks as though those rumours about Bourdais enjoying his last weekend at Toro Rosso in Germany are true. He shared some very final hugs with the team once he retired during the race, and now Autosport reports that Jaime Algeursuari is getting the call up to replace him. The only question that remains is who will be the teams test driver now that Brendon Hartley has left.
Finally, Christian Horner has praised Mark Webber’s performance but says he is still not at 100% fitness, although his comeback has been remarkable.
That’s it for now, I’ll be back tomorrow with another F1Minute.
